UPDATE:
As regards the Bachelor of Laws (Hons) programme at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (‘UniSZA’), Kuala Terengganu, the LPQB has, in the meeting held on 1 November 2013, considered the “Report and Recommendations by the Evaluation Committee Established by the LPQB to Evaluate the LLB (Hons) Programme at UniSZA” and decided that provisional recognition be accorded to the said programme and holders of UniSZA’s LLB (Hons) degree are required to sit and pass all five (5) papers in the CLP Examination in order to be a “qualified person” under Act 166. This provisional recognition is subjected to a review to be conducted by a Review Committee to be established by the LPQB two (2) years from the date of LPQB’s decision. In addition, UniSZA is required to submit regular reports to LPQB, until the Review Visit is conducted, on the extent of compliance with several conditions imposed by the LPQB.
